New Mexico 174 1932 (New Mexico) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A yellow New Mexico state road sign for Route 174, with a red Zia sun badge and the words STATE ROAD set in bold black.

Visual Elements & Composition

Yellow covers most of the surface, with red and black used for the badge and lettering. A circular badge sits in the centre and carries the Zia sun symbol. STATE and ROAD run across the top, the number 174 takes the middle, and N. M. sits beneath. The composition is flat, symmetrical and clear, so each element can be read quickly.

Meaning & Symbolism

The Zia sun symbol comes from the Zia Pueblo, where its four groups of rays stand for the four directions, the four seasons and the four stages of life. New Mexico used the Zia on its highway markers in the 1920s and 1930s, and this design takes its cue from that era. The route is State Road 174, which leads from US 180 at Glenwood to the Catwalk Recreation Area in Catron County.

Made for the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the central badge and its bold numerals sit at eye level as the glass is raised. The warm yellow shows well through the clear glass, and the sign stays easy to read from across the bar.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
