New Mexico 18 1932 (New Mexico) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A mid-century New Mexico road sign for route 18, set in yellow, black and red with the Zia sun at its centre.

Visual Elements & Composition

Yellow fills most of the sign, with black and red marking out the Zia emblem and the lettering. The sign carries the words STATE, ROAD, N. and M. around a circular badge, and the number 18 is set in the centre. Concentric rings give the badge a stacked, layered look, and the bold, legible type keeps the composition clear from a distance.

Meaning & Symbolism

The Zia sun belongs to the Zia Pueblo, where its four groups of rays are read as the four directions, the four seasons and the four stages of life. It is also the emblem on the New Mexico state flag. Putting that symbol on a state road marker, as this 1932-era style does, linked the state's highways to its Indigenous heritage and gave its routes a recognisable identity across the Southwest.

On a Glass Rim

A shot glass is small and held close, so the central number and the rings of the badge sit right under the eye as the glass is raised. The bold yellow and black suit the scale of the object, and the design brings a slice of Southwestern road history to the home bar.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
