NH-206 BGD (Bangladesh) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

This design takes Bangladesh as its single subject and presents it as a road sign, in a clean, direct graphic.

Visual Elements & Composition

The artwork is minimalist. Nothing competes with the subject, so the country sits at the centre of the composition with no decoration around it. The catalogue identifier NH-206 and the BGD code are part of the title, marking the piece as one numbered entry in a series of road-sign graphics. The layout is simple enough to read at a glance.

Meaning & Symbolism

Road signs are the language of navigation. They tell a traveller where they are and where a route leads, and this design turns that convention toward a nation. The NH prefix follows the national highway numbering used on roadside markers, so the piece reads as a waypoint that names Bangladesh itself. Its themes are geography, national identity and the country as the subject.

Reading the Sign on the Mug

A mug is turned in the hand, so its design is seen from every angle as the cup rotates toward your lips. A road sign is built to be read quickly from a distance, and on a mug that quick read becomes a close one. The sign comes round as you lift your drink, a small waypoint on your morning route. Bangladesh is the destination, and the mug is the place you return to each day to see it.
