NH-804 BGD (Bangladesh) (Road Sign) Color Changing Mug 11oz

This is a graphic built around Bangladesh, catalogued as NH-804 BGD and drawn from a national theme.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design is a single graphic piece, composed as one unified image centred on its Bangladesh subject. Its identifier does much of the labelling work. "NH-804" is the catalogue number, and "BGD" is the three-letter code for the country, so the artwork announces its subject from the name alone. The road-sign reference in the title places it within the signage family of designs.

Meaning & Symbolism

BGD is the international code for Bangladesh, and the artwork's themes of geography, culture and national identity all trace back to that country. Bangladesh won its independence in 1971 after a nine-month war, and designs like this one carry that national story into everyday objects, turning a country's name into something you can hold.

Seen Through the Cup

A mug is turned in the hand, so this artwork is seen in pieces as it rotates toward the lips and back again. Pour in something hot and the design surfaces slowly, so the Bangladesh graphic appears as the morning drink warms the vessel. Give it to someone who has a country on their mind, or keep it for yourself and let the reveal be the first thing you see each day.
