Nieuwleusen Coat of Arms Shot Glass Design

This shot glass showcases the historic coat of arms (wapen) of Nieuwleusen, a village in the Netherlands. The design is a striking representation of the village's heritage, meticulously recreated on the glass surface.

Shield Composition

The central element is the shield, which is "doorsneden" (horizontally divided). The upper half is split again, creating two distinct sections.

Upper Half Details

The top half of the shield features a silver (white) background with a prominent blue cross, a symbol borrowed from the arms of Dalfsen, reflecting Nieuwleusen's historical ties to the district. Adjacent to this, the second part of the upper half presents a checkered pattern in silver and azure (blue), with five rows of four squares each. This pattern is derived from the arms of Zwollerkerspel, representing the incorporation of part of that area into Nieuwleusen.

Lower Half Details

The bottom half of the shield is black (sable) and prominently displays two crossed scythes. The scythes are rendered with silver blades and gold handles, symbolizing the importance of agriculture to Nieuwleusen's historical identity. This imagery captures the village's strong connection to its agricultural roots.

Crown

To complete the design, a golden (or) count's crown sits atop the shield, an addition made in 1954 to honor the municipal arms. This crown serves as a decorative element, signifying the historical prestige associated with Nieuwleusen's coat of arms.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
