OH-112 1920 (Ohio) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A plain square road marker with the word OHIO above a divider line and the large numerals 112 beneath it.

Visual Elements & Composition

The layout is square and utilitarian. OHIO sits in stark block capitals at the top, a thin horizontal rule separates it from the bold numerals 112 centred below, and there is no ornament or state silhouette. Yellow and black carry most of the colour, giving the piece a sharp, vintage signage contrast.

Meaning & Symbolism

The design replicates an early Ohio state route marker from the 1920s, when the state first numbered its highways in 1923. The word OHIO establishes the jurisdiction and the numerals identify the route. The plain plate, with no shield, reflects the functional look of the first generation of road markers, before the shield shapes that followed in the mid-1930s. State Route 112 ran through northwestern Ohio, connecting Napoleon and Toledo, before the number was retired.

Made for a Small Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the square marker and its bold numerals are read at arm's length, almost as a label. The strong black lettering stands out clearly against the clear glass, and the simple layout suits a piece that is picked up and turned between rounds.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
