OH-117 1967 (Ohio) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A stark black-and-white marker: a centred solid silhouette of Ohio holds the bold route number 117 on a square white ground.

Visual Elements & Composition

White forms the square field and black takes the state silhouette and the numerals, with black taking a slight lead in the balance. The Ohio shape is centred and carries the figures 11 and 7 inside its outline, so the eye moves from the state to the route number without any other element in the way. Flat, even fills and softly rounded corners keep the layout plain and easy to read.

Meaning & Symbolism

The silhouette of the state was the standard identifier for every Ohio state route from the mid-1930s onward, so the shape tells the driver which jurisdiction the road belongs to while the number names the road. Route 117 ran as an east-west highway through western Ohio, linking Rockford, Lima, Kenton and Bellefontaine. The sign is a record of that network as it looked in 1967, before the look of roadside signage was standardised nationally.

On the Shot Glass

A 1.5oz glass sits close to the eye, so the marker is taken in at a glance, much like a route sign read from the window of a passing car. The solid black silhouette shows clearly through the clear glass, and the square field sits comfortably within the width of the glass wall.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
