OH-120 1960 (Ohio) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A classic black-on-white route marker of the 1960s, with a solid black silhouette of Ohio framing the numerals 120.

Visual Elements & Composition

White covers most of the square and black is reserved for the state outline and the route number, so the contrast is strong and the layout uncluttered. The silhouette fills the centre of the frame, and the numerals sit within its boundary, making the state and the route one unit. The square frame is plain and steady, giving the composition a utilitarian, orderly character.

Meaning & Symbolism

The Ohio silhouette identified a road as part of the state's own highway system, and the mid-1930s marker remained the standard for more than three decades. Route 120 runs through northwestern Ohio from Toledo in Lucas County, through Sylvania, Metamora and Lyons, to Fremont in Sandusky County. The sign marks the peak of the silhouette era, just before Ohio moved to simpler designs in the late 1960s.

On the Shot Glass

A 1.5oz glass is small and held close, so the silhouette is seen up close, almost as a single shape rather than a map. The solid black outline shows clearly through the clear glass, and the square frame sits neatly across the curve of the wall.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
