Old Texas 10 (Texas) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A white diamond road marker with a bold black numeral sits at the centre of this design, a faithful nod to the state highway signs that guided drivers across Texas in the early twentieth century.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design is built entirely from black and white. A white diamond, a square turned forty-five degrees, fills most of the frame. The word TEXAS runs across the upper part of the diamond in plain capitals, and a large, heavy number 10 dominates the lower half. Flat vector shapes and a strict two-colour palette give it the clean, graphic punch of mid-century road signage.

Meaning & Symbolism

State Highway 10 was one of the original twenty-five state routes established by the Texas Highway Department in 1917. It linked Dallas and Fort Worth with West Texas and El Paso, passing through Abilene, Midland and Pecos. The diamond shield asserted the state's authority over its own roads, and the bold numeral made the route easy to follow at speed. By 1926 much of the alignment had been absorbed into U.S. Highway 80, so this marker now stands for the early days of Texas road travel before federal renumbering.

Made for the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the diamond and its numeral read at a glance across the rim. The compact, straight-sided form suits a bold graphic with few elements, and the black-on-white contrast stays sharp up close, the way a roadside sign was meant to be read.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
