Old Texas 15 (Texas) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A black-and-white Texas road sign carries the bold numeral 15 with the word TEXAS beneath it, a tribute to one of the state's original highways.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design uses only black and white, with the white field dominating the surface. The large numeral 15 is the focal point, set in heavy black at the centre of the sign. The word TEXAS sits directly below it in a smaller, plain capital line. The layout is symmetrical and simple, built around a flat vector outline and a square frame, so the number and the state name read instantly.

Meaning & Symbolism

State Highway 15 was one of the twenty-five original state routes designated in June 1917. It ran from the New Mexico line near Texline, across the Panhandle and North Texas, to the Arkansas border at Texarkana. By 1926 much of the route had been absorbed into the U.S. Highway system, with sections passing into U.S. 66 and U.S. 82. The numeral and state name recall that early standardised road network, when a single number was enough to guide a traveller across an unfamiliar state.

Built for the Shot Glass Rim

A shot glass is small and held close, so the bold numeral is seen the moment the glass is raised. The compact, straight-sided form suits a sign built from a few heavy shapes, and the black-on-white contrast carries clearly at that range.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
