Old Texas 31 (Texas) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design reproduces the state highway marker that carried Texas Highway 31 across the Lone Star State, shown in the style of the original 1917 shield.

Visual Elements & Composition

Black and white do all the work here. A white field holds a black Texas outline, with the route number 31 set large in the centre and the word TEXAS running beneath it. A five-pointed star sits inside a circle, adding a compact badge shape to the flat, vector-clean layout. Nothing competes with the numerals, so the marker reads clearly from a distance, just as a road sign should.

Meaning & Symbolism

Texas State Highway 31 was one of the first state highways designated in 1917, linking Waco, Corsicana, Athens, Tyler and Longview. It became a key east-west corridor through Central and East Texas, and it kept its identity even where it overlapped with federal routes after the U.S. Highway system arrived in 1926. The state-outline shield was the mark of a Texas road, and the design records a century of that route's service. Later, from 1935 into the 1950s, the sign switched to a black square with a white circle, and the outline version became a piece of signage history.

Shot Glass Shape & Viewing

A shot glass is small and held close, so the marker reads like a keepsake when it is lifted for a toast. The outline, the 31 and the star all sit within easy view at the rim, which suits a design built on crisp, simple shapes. The glass turns the emblem into something you pick up and look at, not just pass by on a wall.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
