Old Texas 42 (Texas) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A bold black-and-white star badge, with a five-pointed star framed by a circular ring and the numeral 42 set as the route-style marker.

Graphic Structure & Lettering

The artwork is built from flat vector shapes in two colours. White fills about seven parts in ten of the surface and black forms the ring, the star and the lettering. A circular badge provides the central frame, with the five-pointed star sitting inside it. The word TEXAS and the numeral 42 are the only text, set in a plain, heavy style that keeps the badge legible from a short distance.

Heritage Behind the Badge

The five-pointed star is the emblem most associated with Texas, and a star inside a ring is a long-standing way of marking state identity on badges and insignia. The numeral follows the logic of numbered highway markers, the signs that organised American roads across the state for much of the twentieth century. The piece draws on that regional and Americana vocabulary without depicting any single historical sign.

Shown Up Close

A shot glass is small and held near the eye, so the star and ring come into view as the glass is lifted. The numeral is the next element to register. Because the glass is clear, the black and white badge reads straight through to the drink, which suits a graphic this direct.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
