Old Texas 43A (Texas) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

Five points and a ring: a Texas star badge in stark monochrome, with the designation 43A stamped beneath the state name.

Form & Visual Weight

The artwork is flat vector, drawn entirely in black and white with no gradients. White makes up roughly seven tenths of the surface, and black defines the heavy outer ring, the star and the lettering. The circular badge is the dominant shape, with its five-pointed star set at the centre. The word TEXAS and the designation 43A are the only text, and the suffix letter gives the numeral a distinct, sign-like character.

Regional Emblem, Plainly Stated

The five-pointed star is the emblem most closely identified with Texas, and a ringed star badge has long been used to mark state identity on insignia and road signs. The numbered designation draws on the route markers that organised highway travel across the American South and West during the twentieth century. The piece is less a picture of one sign than a distillation of Texas heritage into a few hard-edged shapes.

Held in the Hand

A shot glass is small and raised to eye level, so the badge is seen at close range rather than across a bar. The star catches the eye first, then the ring and the lettering. Because the glass is clear, the black and white emblem appears crisp against whatever is poured, and the badge stays sharp each time the glass is lifted.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
