Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve Wapenshotglas Design

This shot glass showcases the coat of arms of Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, a visual representation of the Belgian municipality's rich history and diverse origins. The design is a quartered shield, carefully composed to unite the symbols of the four key historical entities that make up the area.

A Quartered Legacy

The design features four distinct quadrants, each holding a unique heraldic element:

  • 1st Quarter (Top Left): A gold field is emblazoned with a horizontal blue band, representing the Spangen family, lords of Ottignies and Mousty.
  • 2nd Quarter (Top Right): A blue field bears a gold diagonal band, accompanied by two silver doves with red beaks and limbs. The field is bordered by a gold border with eight gold "T" letters (taus). This quarter symbolizes the former commune of CĂ©roux-Mousty and the Coloma family.
  • 3rd Quarter (Bottom Left): A blue field holds a gold cross, flanked by four gold scallop shells. This quarter represents Louvain-la-Neuve, referencing Anne-JosĂšphe de la Croix, abbess of the Florival abbey and the historical significance of pilgrimage associated with scallop shells and abbey lands.
  • 4th Quarter (Bottom Right): On a gold field, three red roosters stand proudly, derived from the arms of the former commune of Limelette.

The design, approved in 1991, embodies the unity of the municipality, merging the symbols of Ottignies, Limelette, Céroux-Mousty, and the university town of Louvain-la-Neuve into a singular, cohesive emblem.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
