PR old 158 (Puerto Rico) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

Black numerals on a white field, framed by a route shield that could only belong to Puerto Rico's road network.

Shape, Colour & Layout

Two colours carry the whole piece: black, which takes up a little more than half the surface, and white. The rounded-bottom shield is the focal point, with the number 158 dominating its centre. Above it, PUERTO RICO is set in spaced capitals, and the rounded-corner square around the sign keeps the edges tidy. A small island outline completes the layout, placed so the eye moves from place name to route number. The rendering is flat vector with no gradients, which makes the lines look cut from a single sheet.

Symbolism & Origin

The shield is the universal sign for a numbered road, the marker that tells a driver which route they are on. Here the marker is joined to the island's silhouette, so the route number becomes a statement about home. The design draws on modern road signage, where simplicity does the explaining and no extra decoration is needed.

Fitted to a Shot Glass

A shot glass is compact and held close, so the design is taken in at close range, often from directly above or at eye level. The shield's narrow proportions match the glass's straight walls, and the black numerals show clearly through the clear glass. Each sip brings the route number right to the front of the glass.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
