The Royal Greater Coat of Arms of Spain, used from 1761 to 1868 and again from 1874 to 1931, serves as an official heraldic symbol representing the Spanish monarchy during these periods. It consists of a shield divided into four quarters, each bearing unique symbols such as castles, lions, fleurs-de-lis, and a Pillars of Hercules. The center features the royal crown, the Cross of Burgundy, and the Royal Escutcheon, which includes the Castilian arms. This coat of arms was revised by King Charles III in 1785 to reflect the political changes and territorial gains of Spain during his reign.
