SD 514 (South Dakota) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design commemorates South Dakota Highway 514, a former central route that linked Pierre with the Oahe Dam, shown as a classic state route marker.

Visual Elements & Composition

The number 514 is the only text, centred inside the silhouette of South Dakota. White covers most of the field, dark green forms the surround, and black provides the edging. The rounded rectangle frame and flat vector drawing give the marker the same uncluttered form as the highway signs the route once carried.

Meaning & Symbolism

Highway 514 was built to connect the state capital with the Oahe Dam infrastructure and served as a working link until its decommissioning in 2006. Its path was absorbed into the designations of South Dakota Highways 1804, 1806 and 204. The state outline anchors the number within South Dakota's borders, and the design preserves a route that now survives mainly in local memory and on old maps.

A Piece of Road History

A shot glass is small and held close, so the marker rewards a close look, much as an old road map does when it is unfolded on the table. The state shape fits the glass's narrow profile, a small reminder of a central South Dakota road that is no longer on the map.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
