Southern Tier Expressway (New York) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A green highway-style shield carries a white profile silhouette and the words Southern Tier Expy, a route marker made for the Southern Tier Expressway.

Visual Elements & Composition

Green fills most of the rounded-square shield, with a white profile silhouette set in the centre. The figure wears a headband with a geometric pattern, and the lettering Southern Tier Expy is placed in the lower area. Two colours and flat shapes keep the composition clean and bold. The geometric detailing in the headband adds a second layer of pattern without crowding the outline.

Meaning & Symbolism

The Southern Tier Expressway is an east-west corridor across New York's Southern Tier, the counties along the Pennsylvania border. Much of it carries NY 17 and is being upgraded toward Interstate 86 standards, so directional signs along it often show both routes. This green shield was created by Seneca artist Carson Waterman for the road, and its silhouette honours the indigenous heritage of the region the highway crosses. The shield is a deliberate tribute to that history rather than a generic road marker.

In the Hand

A shot glass is small and held close, so the silhouette and the lettering come into view as the glass is lifted. The clear, simple shapes of the shield read well at arm's length, and the single figure gives the eye one place to settle.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
