Soyuz TM-5 (Soyuz Programme) The Soyuz TM-5 was a mission under the Soyuz Programme, which is a human-rated crewed spacecraft currently operated by Roscosmos, the Russian federal space agency. Launched on November 27, 1984, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, this particular flight carried cosmonauts Anatoli Berezovoy and Svetlana Savitskaya to the Soviet space station Salyut 7. Savitskaya was the first woman to perform a spacewalk during this mission, marking an important milestone in space exploration history. The Soyuz TM series, of which TM-5 was part, served as the primary means of crew rotation for the International Space Station from 2001 until 2013. The missions under the Soyuz Programme continue to play a crucial role in transporting astronauts and cosmonauts to and from the ISS.
