Soyuz TMA-6 (Soyuz Space Programme) Frosted Pint Glass 16oz

This design shows a crew of astronauts in front of the flags of Russia, the United States and Italy, marking the 2005 Soyuz TMA-6 flight to the International Space Station.

Visual Elements & Composition

White covers the largest share of the artwork, with navy blue, red and a smaller area of green. The crew members are arranged across the middle of the image, with the national flags behind them filling the upper and side areas. Printed text appears on the design, including the names R. Vittori, J. Phillips and S. Krikalev, along with the Cyrillic word for Russia. The layout is a straightforward group portrait, with the figures clearly placed and the flags framing them.

Meaning & Symbolism

The Soyuz TMA-6 mission launched on 15 April 2005 and returned on 24 October 2005. It carried a crew of two professional cosmonauts and one spaceflight participant, including veteran cosmonaut Sergey Krikalev, who had already spent time on the Mir station, and ESA astronaut Pedro Duque. The flight kept a crew aboard the station and delivered supplies, and the flags show the international cooperation behind that work. The upgraded Soyuz-TMA spacecraft also carried more room for taller crew members.

Why It Suits This Glass

A pint glass has a tall, curved surface, so the crew wraps around it and the flags run from one side of the print to the other. Lifting the glass turns the group in view, bringing each flag and figure into sight in turn. The flags sit close together at the seam, so the design reads as one continuous scene from any angle.

Frosted pint glass (16 oz / ≈0.47 L) with a soft matte finish and semi-translucent, one-sided print. Tough enough for bar and restaurant use, dishwasher safe, and BPA-free — a modern take on classic pintware.

These pints are mouth-blown-style glass finished with a satin frost that mutes glare and gives art a soft, tactile presence. The print sits atop the frosted surface to create a semi-see-through effect — the look subtly shifts depending on lighting and what's poured inside.

Because the print is slightly translucent, pale drinks let more light through and darker pours create stronger contrast. That interplay gives each serving a small visual surprise — useful in hospitality settings or retail displays where the drink and the glass play off each other.

  • Material: 100% glass with a matte, frosted finish for a low-reflective, premium feel.
  • Capacity: 16 oz (standard U.S. pint, ≈0.47 L).
  • Print: one-sided wraparound, semi-translucent finish that changes with light and liquid.
  • Care: dishwasher-safe for everyday service (see Care tab for tips).
  • Use cases: retail shelves, bar service, event glassware, or merch racks — suitable for single units or larger orders.

These glasses work well for chilled beers, craft pours, iced cocktails and cold brew — anywhere you want an elegant, understated presentation. The frosted surface hides minor fingerprints and softens the silhouette of the drink inside.

  1. Serve: fill with cold beverages; the semi-translucent print will interact with the drink color for subtle variation.
  2. Display: stack or line them on back bar shelving where soft lighting emphasizes the frosted texture.
  3. Stocking: sell individually or as a set; their neutral look fits many menu styles and venue aesthetics.

Tip: if you plan themed pours (pale ales, lagers, dark stouts), test a sample to see how each drink’s hue changes the printed artwork’s visibility.

Dishwasher-safe for routine cleaning — use a standard household cycle and avoid very high-heat commercial programs when possible. Placing glasses mouth-down on the rack reduces risk of chipping during wash cycles.

For best longevity, hand-wash with warm water and mild detergent and dry immediately with a lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive scouring pads and harsh chemical cleaners that can dull the frosted finish or wear printed areas over time.
