A nested pentagonal outline in black encloses the letters SP and the numeral 84, reproducing a Brazilian state route shield in flat vector style.
Visual Elements & Composition
White fills roughly four-fifths of the design, and black draws the outer and inner pentagon edges along with the two characters. The letters sit above the numeral, centred in the shield, and the marker is the only element present. Its geometry is tidy and balanced, so the image reads as a clean emblem rather than a scene.
Meaning & Symbolism
SP is the state code for São Paulo, and 84 is the route number the shield carries on the state highway network. Pentagonal markers of this form appear across Brazilian roads, which makes the artwork a direct depiction of everyday wayfinding rather than a symbol with a separate story behind it.
In the Hand
A mug is held close and turned while it is drunk from, so a compact emblem like this one suits the object well. The nested outline keeps its structure as the surface curves past the eye, and the high contrast gives the marker a crisp presence on a shelf or a desk.
