A pentagonal route badge carries SP and the bold numerals 95, rendered in black on a clean white field.
Visual Elements & Composition
White fills most of the design, and black is used for the pentagon outline and the lettering. The two-part marker sits at the centre, with SP set above the heavy 9 and 5. Because there is no ornament or background, the badge shape and its numerals are the whole composition.
Meaning & Symbolism
SP 95 is a state highway designation from Brazil, and the piece borrows the language of route signage to name it. Pentagonal markers like this one are how travellers keep track of a road across a long network, so the design reads as a tribute to the everyday geography of movement and place rather than to a single monument.
Around the Curve
A mug wraps the artwork around a curved body, so the pentagon is seen in pieces as the cup turns in the hand. The bold numerals stay readable from the handle side, and the clean outline keeps its shape as the mug moves through the line of sight.
