SP-125 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Color Changing Mug 11oz

This design is a Brazilian state highway route marker, reduced to a single white pentagon with a black border and the code SP 125 at its centre.

Visual Elements & Composition

White covers most of the artwork, with black supplying the border and lettering. The pentagon shield sits centred and upright, and a second, inner black border follows its outline, so the eye moves inward to the figures. The letters SP sit above the numerals 125, both set bold and plain. The style is flat vector, with no shading, gradients or texture, so every edge stays crisp.

Meaning & Symbolism

Route markers like this one are the signs drivers read at a glance. The SP prefix identifies a highway in the state of São Paulo, and the number places this road within the state's network. The design borrows the visual language of modern road signage, where shape and contrast carry the information, so a driver can recognise the route before reading it. Its clean, modern look reflects that practical purpose.

Turning the Mug in the Hand

A road marker is built to be read from a distance, but this artwork wraps around a curved vessel, so the shield is seen in pieces as the mug turns. The pentagon's corners and the inner border keep their shape as the surface rolls past your hand. The heat-reactive surface brings the shield into view as the mug warms, so the route marker reveals itself slowly, one sip at a time.
