SP-925 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Color Changing Mug 11oz

This design is a flat, graphic road marker: a black pentagon outline holding the route number 925 with the state prefix SP, rendered in crisp black and white.

Visual Elements & Composition

White fills nearly nine-tenths of the artwork, with black taking the remaining share as the pentagon border and the lettering. The pentagon sits centred and dominates the frame, so the eye lands on it before anything else. Inside, the letters SP sit above the numerals 925, stacked and bold, with no ornament, gradients or background scenery. The result reads instantly at a glance, the way a sign is meant to.

Meaning & Symbolism

Pentagon-shaped route markers are the signage used to identify numbered roads, and the SP prefix ties this route to São Paulo, Brazil's most populous state. The design is a tribute to the everyday language of the open road: the reassuring shape a traveller looks for on a long drive, and the sense of a place defined by its highways and the people who navigate them. Its utilitarian character is the point, and it gives the artwork a quiet, honest personality.

On the Color Morphing Mug

A road marker is designed to be read quickly, and a mug is the object that gets read most often, turned slowly in the hand during the first coffee of the morning. The pentagon rotates into view with every turn, and the high contrast of black on white keeps the route number legible from every angle. It is a gift for anyone who has ever followed a sign into somewhere new, or who simply likes their drinkware with a bit of road-trip attitude.
