STS 41 (NASA) The Space Transportation System mission STS-41, launched by NASA in 1990, marked a significant milestone in the agency's space shuttle program. Conducted aboard Space Shuttle Atlantis, this flight was dedicated to deploying and retrieving the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). The STS-41 mission commenced on October 24, 1990, with a successful launch from Kennedy Space Center's Launch Complex 39B. A crew of seven astronauts embarked on the mission: Robert L. Gibson (commander), Charles D. Harwich (pilot), Richard C. Mullane, Michael J. Evans, Kathryn D. Sullivan (first American woman to walk in space), Bruce McCandless II, and Gregory J. Harbaugh, who served as mission specialists. During the six-day flight, the crew deployed the Hubble Space Telescope into its orbit around Earth. They also performed several other experiments related to materials processing, life sciences, and solar astronomy. On October 30, 1990, after completing their mission objectives, the STS-41 crew safely returned to Kennedy Space Center, landing at Edwards Air Force Base in California. The successful deployment of the Hubble Space Telescope revolutionized our understanding of the universe, making groundbreaking discoveries such as observing distant galaxies and identifying black holes. It remains one of the most iconic space missions in NASA's history, demonstrating the incredible potential for human exploration and scientific discovery through space travel.

Frosted pint glass (16 oz / ≈0.47 L) with a soft matte finish and semi-translucent, one-sided print. Tough enough for bar and restaurant use, dishwasher safe, and BPA-free — a modern take on classic pintware.

These pints are mouth-blown-style glass finished with a satin frost that mutes glare and gives art a soft, tactile presence. The print sits atop the frosted surface to create a semi-see-through effect — the look subtly shifts depending on lighting and what's poured inside.

Because the print is slightly translucent, pale drinks let more light through and darker pours create stronger contrast. That interplay gives each serving a small visual surprise — useful in hospitality settings or retail displays where the drink and the glass play off each other.

  • Material: 100% glass with a matte, frosted finish for a low-reflective, premium feel.
  • Capacity: 16 oz (standard U.S. pint, ≈0.47 L).
  • Print: one-sided wraparound, semi-translucent finish that changes with light and liquid.
  • Care: dishwasher-safe for everyday service (see Care tab for tips).
  • Use cases: retail shelves, bar service, event glassware, or merch racks — suitable for single units or larger orders.

These glasses work well for chilled beers, craft pours, iced cocktails and cold brew — anywhere you want an elegant, understated presentation. The frosted surface hides minor fingerprints and softens the silhouette of the drink inside.

  1. Serve: fill with cold beverages; the semi-translucent print will interact with the drink color for subtle variation.
  2. Display: stack or line them on back bar shelving where soft lighting emphasizes the frosted texture.
  3. Stocking: sell individually or as a set; their neutral look fits many menu styles and venue aesthetics.

Tip: if you plan themed pours (pale ales, lagers, dark stouts), test a sample to see how each drink’s hue changes the printed artwork’s visibility.

Dishwasher-safe for routine cleaning — use a standard household cycle and avoid very high-heat commercial programs when possible. Placing glasses mouth-down on the rack reduces risk of chipping during wash cycles.

For best longevity, hand-wash with warm water and mild detergent and dry immediately with a lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive scouring pads and harsh chemical cleaners that can dull the frosted finish or wear printed areas over time.
