Texas 7-B (Texas) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A black-and-white route marker that places the numeral 7 beside a letter B, set inside a heavy square border that reads as a sign at first glance.

Visual Elements & Composition

White dominates the field, with black carrying the numeral, the letter and the word TEXAS. The thick square border with softened corners gives the piece a solid, self-contained outline. The 7 is the largest mark, and the B reads as a suffix that qualifies it, so the eye moves from number to letter in one pass. The layout is flat and restrained, with no ornament to slow the reading.

Meaning & Symbolism

The lettered branch was a real feature of the early Texas highway system, which began taking shape around 1917. A lettered spur such as 7-B linked smaller towns to a main numbered trunk route, so the sign told a driver both where the road went and how it related to the network. This one honours the 7-B spur that connected Center with San Augustine in East Texas, a route that was later renumbered out of use as the state simplified its signage.

On a Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the marker is read at a few inches rather than from across a road. The square border follows the straight edges of the design against the round curve of the glass, and the 7 sits where the eye lands first. It is a fitting piece of road history for a glass that is raised, turned and set back down at the end of an evening.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
