Texas 88 1935 (Texas) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design shows the 1935 Texas State Highway 88 marker: a white Texas-outline shield with the route number set inside it in black.

Visual Elements & Composition

White covers most of the artwork, and the outline of Texas is drawn in black across the centre. The number 88 sits in the middle of the shape, with TEXAS placed above it. The composition is plain and symmetrical, and the flat vector treatment keeps the outline and numerals crisp.

Meaning & Symbolism

By 1935 the original State Highway 88, which ran from Amarillo through Lubbock to Big Spring, had largely been renumbered into U.S. Highway 87. The designation was then reused for a much shorter connector route in the South Plains near Post. This marker marks the shift away from the earlier circle-in-square style to the Texas-outline shield that became the standard state marker through the 1930s and into the 1950s.

Made for the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the Texas outline and the number sit at a comfortable distance as the glass is lifted. The black on white stays readable across the curve of the glass, and the shape is easy to recognise on a bar shelf.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
