Texas 90 1917 (Texas) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design reproduces the 1917 marker for Texas State Highway 90, drawn as a plain road sign from the earliest years of the state's highway numbering.

Visual Elements & Composition

A square white field carries a black circle centred within it, and the route number 90 sits in bold type inside that circle. The word TEXAS runs above the roundel as the state identifier. Black and white are the only colours, and the flat shapes are arranged with the circle dominating the square.

Meaning & Symbolism

SH 90 was one of the first 25 highways designated in Texas in 1917, a step toward organising the state's growing road network. The route ran from San Antonio through Pearsall, Cotulla and Laredo toward Eagle Pass on the Mexican border, and later became part of U.S. Highway 90. The circle-in-square marker predates the Texas-outline shield, so it stands for the pragmatic start of Texas road signage, when clarity mattered more than decoration.

Designed for the Bar Shelf

A shot glass is small and held close, so the circle and the bold 90 read at a glance when the glass is set on the bar or turned in the hand. The 1.5oz body suits a sign this simple, leaving the black roundel and white field clear against the glass.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
