Texas FM 81 (Texas) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A classic Farm to Market sign in black and white, with the number 81 and the words FARM ROAD set inside the Texas outline.

Visual Elements & Composition

A stark black square forms the backdrop and the white silhouette of Texas sits inside it, the two colours roughly in a three-to-two balance. FARM and ROAD are set in small lettering, while the bold numerals 81 take the central position and draw the eye first. The rounded square and the state outline are rendered in flat vector, keeping the sign simple and easy to recognise at a glance.

Meaning & Symbolism

Farm to Market Road 81 was established in the late 1940s to serve the ranchlands of Karnes and Wilson Counties in South Texas. It runs about 29 miles, linking the town of Runge, the historic site of Helena and Hobson with the state highways that carried goods to market. The route was built to move agricultural produce out of the countryside, and it later carried oilfield and commuter traffic as the region's economy changed. The sign stands for that long line of rural connection.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the sign is best seen at arm's length on a bar top, where the bold numerals are easy to take in. The compact 1.5oz glass gives the black square and white outline a neat, contained field to sit within.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
