Texas Spur 184 (Texas) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

Texas Spur 184 is a black-and-white highway shield with the word SPUR above a bold route number, a sign that once marked a road serving a wartime airfield.

Visual Elements & Composition

White covers most of the surface, with black forming the border and lettering. The shield is a rounded square set inside a square outline. SPUR runs across the top, and the numerals 184 sit below in heavy, high-contrast type. The flat vector treatment has no shading and no extra ornament, so the number is the clear focal point.

Meaning & Symbolism

Texas Spur 184 was a short state route in Childress County, designated on 18 March 1947. It connected the local farm-to-market road network to the Childress Army Air Field, giving the airfield direct road access. The route was cancelled on 9 October 1973 and absorbed into the FM 164 system. The sign records a piece of rural Texas transport history, and the link between a small country road and military aviation during the mid-twentieth century.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the marker is read at arm's length, the way a map is studied on a table. The rounded square and bold numerals are easy to take in at that scale, and the short word SPUR tells the whole story in a glance.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
