The United States Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) is an independent federal agency responsible for managing the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), a defined contribution retirement savings and investment plan for employees of the U.S. federal government. Established in 2006, the FRTIB manages investments across five basic funds: the Government Securities Investment Fund, the Common Stock Index Investment Fund, the Fixed Income Index Investment Fund, the Small Capitalization Stock Index Investment Fund, and the International Stock Index Investment Fund.
