University of Keele Coat of Arms Shot Glass

This shot glass showcases the distinguished Coat of Arms of Keele University, a design rich in symbolism and history. The central element is the shield, the focal point of the university's heraldic identity.

The Shield's Imagery

The shield's field is a golden yellow (Or), a colour representing the Staffordshire region and its commitment to excellence. A striking red chevron (Chevron Gules) cuts across the shield, echoing the colours of Staffordshire. Upon this chevron rests an open silver book (Open Book Argent), a direct symbol of learning and scholarship.

At the base of the shield, a naturally-colored scythe (Scythe Proper) is depicted, inherited from the arms of the Sneyd family, the original owners of the Keele estate. The top of the shield features a wavy red band (Chief Wavy Gules), possibly representing local waterways.

Within this chief are three key symbols. The Stafford Knot, the Fleur-de-Lys, and a Fret. These devices represent the three local authorities: Stafford, Burton upon Trent, and Stoke-on-Trent, that contributed to the founding of the university. The Stafford Knot, representing Stafford, is central to the design, with the Fleur-de-Lys and Fret to the sides.

The Crest

Above the shield, the crest features Rodin's iconic statue "Le Penseur" (The Thinker) in gold, standing before a laurel wreath. This symbolizes academic thought, reflection, and honour.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / โ‰ˆ44.3 ml) โ€” sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

Theyโ€™re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (โ‰ˆ44.3 ml) โ€” standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours โ€” less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning โ€” place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (โ‰ˆ44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
