US 10 MN 1961 (Minnesota) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design renders the U.S. Route 10 highway shield as it appeared on Minnesota roadside markers, drawn to the federal sign standard of around 1961.

Visual Elements & Composition

The artwork is a flat, two-tone graphic in pure white and solid black. The white field dominates, roughly three-fifths of the composition, and the black forms the lettering, numerals and outline. The central element is the rounded-square shield that marks a U.S. highway, with the numerals 1 and 0 set large and centred. Nothing decorative competes with the shield; the restraint is the point, because a route marker had to be read at speed from a moving car.

Meaning & Symbolism

U.S. Route 10 was established nationally in 1926 and runs east to west across the northern states. In Minnesota it enters from North Dakota and passes through Moorhead, Detroit Lakes, Wadena, St. Cloud and Anoka before reaching the Wisconsin line. The shield is the signature of that long corridor, and the MN tag places this particular version in the Minnesota context and in the early 1960s. For transportation enthusiasts and anyone who has driven a long state highway, it stands for the moment the interstate-era road network took its visual form.

Made for the Bar Shelf

A shot glass is small and held close, so the shield sits within easy view when the glass is raised or set down on a counter. The rounded-square outline reads well against the clear glass, and the stark black-on-white contrast keeps the route number legible even at a glance across a table.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
