US 231 FL reversed (Florida) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A yellow-and-black highway shield bearing the number 231 in a reversed colour scheme, recalling the marker Florida used on its US routes before national standards arrived.

Visual Elements & Composition

White covers the largest share of the field, with yellow and black taking the shield and the numerals. The reversed scheme inverts the usual black-on-white marker, so the route number stands out with a warmer, brighter edge. The shield has softly rounded corners and sits centred on a plain ground. Colour carries the design, and the three digits stay bold and legible.

Meaning & Symbolism

U.S. 231 runs north from Panama City to the Alabama line. In the period before the early 1990s, Florida gave some of its routes reversed colours to mark them as alternate or special designations, a colour code that set them apart from the mainline routes. The federal government then required standard black-and-white shields, and Florida phased out its own markers, so this design preserves a system of road signs that is no longer on the road.

Where the Shot Glass Meets the Design

A 1.5oz shot glass is small and held close, so the shield fills the front of the glass and the number sits at the level of the eye as the glass is raised. The bright yellow stands out against the white at this scale. It is a neat piece of Florida road history for a bar shelf or a windowsill.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
