US 6N NY Old (New York) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A minimal black shield on white, bearing the number 6N, recalls a New York highway that no longer appears on today's maps.

Visual Elements & Composition

This is a flat vector graphic that is almost entirely white, with black taking up only a small share of the surface. The US highway shield dominates the composition, with its rounded outline and notched top. Inside it sits the numeral 6 followed by the suffix N. A banner beneath or beside the shield reads NEW YORK, and the letters U S appear in the upper section. The layout is spare and symmetrical, leaving the shield to carry the whole image.

Meaning & Symbolism

US 6N was a spur of the main US 6 highway in New York State, running between Port Jervis and Kingston. The suffix marked it as an alternate alignment rather than a primary route. It was decommissioned in the early 1930s, and much of its former course was later absorbed into US 209. The sign therefore stands for the short-lived routes of early American road building, the local connections that were folded into newer numbers or dropped from the map altogether.

Fitted to the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and is held close to the face, which suits a design built on one clear shape. The shield's heavy black outline reads well against the clear glass, and the simple composition means the sign is legible from every side of the vessel. Turn the glass in the hand and the shield and banner stay in view, as they would on a roadside marker meant to catch a driver's eye.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
