VFA 2 (U.S. Navy) VFA-2, also known as the "Bounty Hunters," is a strike fighter squadron of the United States Navy. The squadron operates primarily from the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69). VFA-2's primary aircraft is the F/A-18E Super Hornet, a twin-engine, multi-role combat jet that can perform air superiority, close air support, day, night, all-weather strike missions, and fleet defense missions.
