WA-SSH3-P (Washington) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A vintage-style Washington route marker in stark black and white, showing a profile of George Washington facing left above the lettering SSH 3P.

Visual Elements & Composition

Black covers roughly three-fifths of the marker and white the remainder, which makes the profile the most prominent shape on the sign. The marker is a vertical rectangle with rounded corners, and a double-line border frames its outline. The head faces left, with long hair drawn as part of the silhouette. The numeral 3, the letter P and the word WASHINGTON make up the lettering. Shading is absent, so each shape is defined by a single hard edge.

Meaning & Symbolism

The marker belongs to Washington's pre-1964 highway system. WA marked the state, SSH the secondary highway class, the 3 the parent route, and the P a lettered branch within that route. The George Washington profile was a common device on state route markers of the period, identifying each road with the namesake of the state. In 1964 the state adopted a single numbered route system, and the old SSH designations were phased out. The sign therefore keeps the nomenclature and imagery drivers once saw on secondary roads.

Close to the Lip

A shot glass is small, sits low in the hand and is raised to the mouth with a quick tilt. The image is seen from close range, so the bold profile and the numerals read first as the glass is lifted. The high contrast keeps the sign clear as the glass turns on its way back to the bar.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
