WA-SSH3-U (Washington) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A black-and-white route shield in flat vector style shows a left-facing male profile with long hair, set in a double-line frame above the word WASHINGTON.

Visual Elements & Composition

Black is the dominant colour at roughly three-fifths of the design, with white taking the rest. The shield is a vertical rectangle with rounded corners, enclosed by a double-line border. The silhouette occupies the upper half and the lettering sits beneath it. The designation 3U is set in the lower panel, so the composition reads top to bottom: profile, state name, route number.

Meaning & Symbolism

The profile is the figure of George Washington, the state's namesake, a device that vintage state highway signs used to represent the territory they served. Washington ran a system of primary and secondary highways from 1937 until the 1964 renumbering, and SSH marked a Secondary State Highway. The 3 ties this route to Primary State Highway 3, and the U identifies a local spur branching from it. The shield is therefore a compact map of a road hierarchy that the modern State Route numbers replaced.

Holding the Shield

A shot glass is small and held close, so the badge is read at close range, a few inches from the eye. The narrow outline of the shield suits the slim sides of the glass, and the profile keeps its shape as the glass turns in the hand. It is a neat piece of road history to put on the bar shelf.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
