Wayne County 101 NY blade sign (New York) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

This design is a flat dark green blade sign in the style of a New York State county marker, reading Lake, CR and 101 in a single rounded rectangle.

Visual Elements & Composition

Dark green is the only colour, filling a rounded rectangle that forms the whole sign. The text is arranged in a stacked, balanced layout, with the word Lake and the county road designation CR 101 carrying the message. The layout is plain and utilitarian, so the lettering is the main feature and nothing competes with it.

Meaning & Symbolism

A blade sign hangs perpendicular to the road, so it can be read by drivers coming from either direction. This example names a county route in Wayne County, New York, and its typography reflects the civic markers that identify local roads and lakeside communities across the region. The piece celebrates the regional geography and the municipal identity that these small signs carry.

On the Coffee Mug

A mug is turned in the hand while it is held, so the rounded green panel and its lettering move into view one side at a time. The single-colour layout suits the smooth white surface of a ceramic mug, where the sign reads as a clean, complete image from every angle.
