WIS 15 1927 (Wisconsin) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design reproduces Wisconsin State Trunk Highway 15 as its route marker looked in 1927, reduced to a black numeral system on white.

Visual Elements & Composition

The marker is a flat, two-colour graphic: black on white, with black taking up only a small share of the field. An inverted triangle forms the badge, and within it the letters W I S sit above the route number 15. Nothing decorative competes with the lettering, so the sign reads at a glance, the way it was meant to from a moving car.

Meaning & Symbolism

Wisconsin began numbering its state highways in 1918, and this marker belongs to that early system, which pioneered uniform route numbers in the United States. By 1927 the earlier "State Trunk Highway" wording had been dropped in favour of the WIS designation and the number alone. That simplification marks the shift from local road administration toward the national numbered network that followed. The triangle is the signature of that first generation of state routes.

Made for the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the badge is seen up near the eye as the glass is lifted. The triangle sits well inside the rim, and the bold lettering stays legible even at this scale.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
