This is a printed world map that shows the globe as its makers understood it, with every border, coastline and ocean set down in ink.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design is built around two circular hemisphere projections, one labelled THE LAND HEMISPHERE and the other THE WATER HEMISPHERE, set side by side on a rectangular sheet. Pale sea green covers the largest share of the field, with pale ochre and tan giving the landmasses their warmth, a cream border framing the whole, and a touch of rust drawing the eye.
